I clearly said that the line is being doubled and electrified from Delhi to Ahmedabad. Whereas some sections are there in Indian Railways which have not been Electrified and their tenders are also not out. This is what I meant to say.

Yes, and wasting of 1870 km of diesel is also a profit to Indian Railways. Running a diesel engine from Trivandrum to Vadodara. I understand the distance is shorter, but it is only profitable to the passengers of Konkan and Kerala and not to the Tamil Nadu. But on other hands if you just look on the IRI blog that TVC Rajdhani have the worst service in compare to the other Rajdhani and Pantry guys demand Rs.100 and not less than that. I went in Bangalore Rajdhani 2 years back and service was amazing Pantry guys asked for Rs.50, but I gave only 30 he just moved. Then also late I went to Pantry and asked for a juice and ice cream he did not ask from me a penny. Plus they were asking all the passengers who boarded train from Bhopal after 22.00 that do they need dinner.

I am a regular traveller in 12431/32 but with me none of the pantry guy demands for tips. I used to travel with my kid, and the pantry guys used to serve accordingly. They used to provide Hot Milk to Kid in morning evening and night. Regarding Fuel E locos also consumes electricity. If railway runs more trains in Konkan , it means from konkan the revenue is more. and There is a surplus fare in KR trains as the chargable KM is 30% more than the actual route km. So running a train through KR will be profitable for railways.

Charvattur to Mangalore Electrification Report as observed on 28/12/2016.

Wiring is almost 90-98% complete at Mangalore Central and Mangalore Junction,but they have to be joined and aligned properly.
I don't have images but saw an OHE van at Kumbla. Technician were aligning and doing some wire work at Uppala.

No.22610 reached 15-20 minutes late and I had to catch Ahmedabad Special at MAJN so rushed to Unreserved Ticket Counter to purchase MAJN ticket, so closely noticed the wiring work even at back and wires are there as well. Wires are there everywhere even at yards but they are not aligned and the work is underway and I have seen technicians working outside MAQ.I booked Sleeper class and I am upgraded to AC 3 TIER.

Right Now Electrification is required only in areas where it is most important
Uttar Pradesh, because most routes have single line and are also not electrified,but since UP have elections in 2017 and Central Government have awarded lots of Contracts for doubling and electrification.This is a good sign because of single lines trains in UP get late upto 6 -7 hours.
Doubling and Electrification in almost most of the dense and important routes in UP will get over by 2020.

Rewari to Hisar Electrification under advance stage.
Charvattur to Mangalore Electrification anytime complete by 2017 Mid.
Project out for Karaikal-Trichy
By 2018 Ludhiana-Dhuri-Delhi should be electrified completely.
By 2017 end Bhatinda -Delhi should be over if all goes fine.
New Bongaigaon to Guwahati via Rangiya will also be doubled and electrified by 2020. Actual 2019 end.

Roha to Veer Doubling and Electrification chal raha hai
Konkan only will take 5 years to both Double and Electrify but if Electrified can be done in 2 years.
2022-23 tak bahut kuch ho jayega KONKAN BHI SHAYAD agar start hua toh 2019 tak khatam only electrification.

Another reason is that GKP is not completely electrified some platforms and yard is left I think so all trains originating from GKP are not getting Eloco whereas trains coming from back eg from Barauni, Naharlagun are coming with Eloco at Gorakhpur when GKP is fully electrified and Loco Shed is built many trains will haul with Eloco you should wait
