Beer is not inflamable it contains 4-8% alcohol , if you want further clarification , I am a masters in chemical engg and have done research on beer and alchohol manufacturing, you can contact me via Pvt message @ jaidev Its illegal to carry beer/Alcohol in trains, request you to end this blog and you can carry it on your own risk Thanks for understanding Subash u are correct about content of ethyl alcohol ie spirit in beer. I am not a Chemical engineer but have seen warning on beer bottles about flammability, it will not catch fire by itself but accelerate or enhance fire. Better the person who is required to carry such goods he / she can use luggage van booking and declare the contents of goods. I think there will not be issue if he wants to carry a carton or two but not many bottles else he could be voilating liquor law of the state.
