Every time I see this Shatabdi, it always is hauled by WAP 1 (edited) or WAM 4 but SBC Shatabdi gets a P7. Why this partiality? :) I guess u mean WAP1.. There are 3 WAP-7's that SWR needs to get and in the lot 12027/28 got lucky. Another angle to could be that SR is using optimum resources. For a small rake like this a WAP-1 and WAM-4 does a great job. With a WAP-1 the Mysore shatabdi does MAS-SBC in 4hrs 40 mins flat on an average. But somehow, I feel it could have put up a better show with atleast a WAP 5. These Shatabdis should ideally be covering the distance in 4 hours flat.... given that they cover most of the journey before time. and yes... it is WAP 1 n not WAM 1... typo error... now edited :) Oh dude.. the sector doesnt have an MPS beyond 120 kmph.. so even a WAP5 can do it only in the said speed. WAP1/WAM4 is well justified until the sectional MPS is increased. Poor SR doesnt have WAp-5 also.... P.S WAP-5 are faster loco than WAP-7!! So who is the beneficiary? ERS intercity hopefully? If you ask me DD's real occupancy should be analysed post Mid June. until then summer peak is contributing a lot to this success. May be Kovai , Kovai ICE might get the coaches of this one and their old ones given to other ICE;s and yea ERS could be a beneficiary :-) For popularising DD, SR took enough step by giving Brindavan's slot and now reducing CC in that...Lets see post June... lalbagh is SWR mate.. Brinda is SR rake :-) i know...thats why i asked for donating...:) Mate dont forget JP DD....it is the most Sucessful DD...Gone under Augmentation 3 Times and Have Longest DD Rake.........ADI DD is also a Flop Show Only Oh yes.. its just that by augmenting more coaches the train has a lots of seats available in the peak season. This is not right as well. ADI DD was comppared with the current peak season only. The train is running under heavy WL. I hope SR reverts backs his decision soon on removing the CC coaches of Brindavan. I have one more question. What more will cost SR to keep these two coaches with the existing rake? I dont think any additional cost will be incurred and they can very well run with Brinda itself. Anyone on knowledge about this can throw some light on it. If the coaches are augumented/replaced with other trains its well and good but there is no news on the same. Also i feel apart from lean periods both will run with full occupancy since from MAS - SBC in the morning we have three trains. Shatabdi DD Brindavan SBC-MAS in the morning we have three trains.
