really bad slot for pax of jodhpur arriving at 4 am.
however bkn-bdts is in the slot of bgkt-bdts from jodhpur. this slot is also not good.
they could have taken the slot of ju-bct lhb special which arrived at bvt at around 6:15 am in the morning.
I think this will be a flop, until and unless there is big a holiday rush.

Travelling today to jodhpur. Stopped at vedcha station for 15 minutes to give way to one rajdhani, don't know which one. Still reached surat 3 min before time. No need to stop a sf train which has no halt between bvi and St. Instead it should be speed up by 15 min

I have one suggestion. all those trains where premium tatkal quota is there should be converted to LHB and given importance equivalent to duronto/shatabdi. Hence no duronto/shatabdi should overtake such trains until and unless there is additional stoppage in between. Till the time this is done, premium tatkal quota should be abolished from such trains

सवाई माधोपुर तक पहले वाले समय तक सफर करने के बावजूद ज्यादा किराया देना होगा।

रेलवे प्रशासन का कहना है कि उनका यह फैसला यात्रियों के हित में लिया गया है। जोधपुर से चलने वाली भोपाल पैसेंजर ट्रेन संख्या 54811 अब नए नंबर 14813 से सुबह 8:05 बजे रवाना होकर अगले दिन सुबह 9:10 बजे भोपाल पहुंचेगी। वापसी में भोपाल से आने वाली ट्रेन का नंबर 54812 की जगह 14814 हो जाएगा और यह वहां से शाम 5:25 बजे चलकर अगले दिन रात 8:20 बजे जोधपुर आएगी।

रेलवे प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि जोधपुर से सवाई माधोपुर के बीच ट्रेन के समय और ठहराव में कोई बदलाव नहीं होगा। सवाई माधोपुर भोपाल के बीच आठ ठहराव कम किए गए हैं। ऐसे में अब यह ट्रेन जोधपुर से भोपाल के बीच 26.45 घंटे की जगह 25.05 घंटे में सफर तय करेगी। वापसी में 1.15 घंटे का सफर कम होगा। ट्रेन के जोधपुर से सवाई माधोपुर के बीच पैसेंजर की तरह ही चलने के बावजूद यात्रियों को एक्सप्रेस का किराया देना होगा। स्लीपर क्लास में 40 से 90 और सैकंड सीटिंग में 25 से 65 रुपए किराया बढ़ जाएगा। जोधपुर से भोपाल के सफर में 1:40 मिनट का सफर कम होगा लेकिन स्लीपर क्लास का टिकट 155 सैकंड सीटिंग का 105 रुपए महंगा हो जाएगा।

This train is a passenger train and shall be a passenger train even after the so called upgradation. Not only the avg speed, the number of stops confirms this statement. For an express train atleast 20km per stop should be avg distance and avg. speed should be 45kmph+ (except for hilly/tough BG terrains and MG/ NG trains.
This move is probably intended to increase revenue or indirectly increase fare.

काम बंद हो गया। इस बजट से भी उम्मीद थी कि इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए राशि मिलेगी लेकिन यहां के जनप्रतिनिधियों की अनदेखी के चलते डेढ़ सौ करोड़ रुपए की राशि नहीं मिल रही है।
भाजपा के विधायक और सांसद इस प्रोजेक्ट को शुरू कराने में कोई रूचि नहीं दिखा रहे हैं। खामियाजा वागड़ की जनता को भुगतना पड़ रहा है।

don't just go by the count of passenger trains. pls consider movement of goods trains also.
secondly if 5 PFs can handle 100 trains, then why the departure of trains like jodhpur bdts and jodhpur bangalore, jodhpur pune was shifted to bgkt.
and most of the new trains are being started from bgkt only.
this must be the logic enough to understand the ground

Passengers of the Western Railway may have a tough time by this month-end. The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) and the Western Railway are all set to start work of the Andheri-Goregaon Harbour Line, and as a result, slow trains will not halt at Jogeshwari. To reduce the inconvenience, the railway is planning to halt all fast trains at Jogeshwari.
According to MRVC officials, they are in the final stage to clear the Rs. 103-crore project. “There were a few obstacles which were removed by the Railways and some were relocated. Passengers from Jogeshwari and Goregaon will be facing trouble in the peak hours as the Up trains will not halt at Jogeshwari. “We are making arrangements for fast trains to halt at Jogeshwari. Or else passengers will have to go till Goregaon and then they have to come in Down trains to get down at Jogeshwari,” said a senior WR official. At present, passengers at Jogeshwari station can alight from slow trains on both sides (either platform number 1 or 2). The official said the platform number 1 will be extended to Churchgate. Ravinder Bhakar, chief PRO, WR, said, “We are waiting for the railway board approval for mega block dates.”
The project after completion will provide a connectivity between Navi Mumbai and Goregaon. More than two lakh passengers will be benefited, and trains will go till Goregaon from Panvel or Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. At present, the Harbour Line runs till Andheri. The project is part of the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP)–I and this will be extended till Borivali in the MUTP–II.
Prabhat Sahai, Chairman and Managing Director, MRVC, said, “We have given the request for mega blocks and hope that work will start by this month-end.”

but here the new baby shall be a huge entity with almost infinite life span, it too shall have its own associated pains of commensurately large magnitude. But it is most important to ensure that the issue is managed with as minimum pain (inconvenience to paxs/Rlyofficials) as possible.
