The problem we have with MAJN/MAQ is that all routes go through ghat.But SWR can give trains if it really wants to...I really dont understand what this HMRDA rule is about.How can one run goods trains and block the passenger train...Braganza doubling will also happen in another 5-6 years.After that what will SWR tell I dont know.But HMRDA should be ideally scrapped.It is very bad in general sense for a common man that UBL is not connected to MAQ even when there is route which it can connect to...But UBL-MAQ/MAJN huge demand is there..But there is huge politics involved...I had great hopes during Gowda's Tenure...He also didnot gave knowing the importance of it...
Considering the TT of Poorna Express...Cant they scrap this so called express(in reality passenger train) and introduce UBL-MAQ/MAJN Over Night Express....May be bus lobby is playing spoil sport here....One train will be a boon for North Karnataka...We can only show our frustration here but nothing happens practically :(
18047/48 extension to MAQ/MAJN is ok if they can do it..But problem will be VSG people will start fighting for it...So no point in discussion on that..We cannot satisfy all the people all the time....
But whatever it is...In laymen terms...it is a big problem for common man...I know the difficulties of travelling in a bus from Bagalkot to Mangaluru....As a kid,I used to hate my summer vacation because I needed to go to Kerala and there was no means apart from bus and I have vomiting problems in bus....It was pathetic situation for me...Once I was in 8th...The UBL-MAO-MAQ route opened up and then it was roller coaster ride in train...
Yes..Roads are good from UBL-MAQ....Now work is going on for widening of roads....I also have huge history wrt to parasuram Express...My Dad always wanted to catch Parasuram which was around 4 i guess in the morning..But we always used to reach MAQ by 5-5.30 and catch Link Express from there...So practically I have never travelled till now in Parasuram...
When I was too small..I dont remember..but heard from my parents..There used to be MG line from MAQ to BGK/BJP...That was good to...There was Mahalakshmi EXpress to connect I guess...But they blocked that route for BG conversion later and it took so many years to start BG line through HAS later...
Yes bhai....Still didnot go to shiradi ghat..Come once to Bengaluru...We shall plan....Travelled all south east asian countries like Malaysia,Singapore,Thailand and Bali,Indonesia,but didnot travel through this beautiful shiradi ghat :(
But Bro...Now is freight trains running in that section? If the answer is no....then SWR must be really crazy in getting the UBL-ANKOLA line...So they are not allowing passenger trains in this section...
