Dear Admins, NTES schedule for Train #12723 for Nagpur Jn. (NGP) shows Arrival: 15:40 Hrs and Departure: 15:50 Hrs. But, as per the Time-Table at indiarailinfo.com, /train/timetable/71/834/664 the Arrival is shown as: 15:45 Hrs and Departure: 15:55 Hrs. Kindly clarify. Thanks.

Senior members, the current 'Accommodation Availability Enquiry' Status for Sleeper Class, for Train # 22646 Ahilyanagari Express on 3rd April, 2016, from Boarding Stn. Nagpur Jn. (NGP) and reservation up to Indore Jn. (INDB) is RLWL74. Please let me know the chances of a RLWL74 moving into RAC (if not getting confirmed). If the chances are bright, I shall go ahead and make a booking (i.e., I haven't made the booking/reservation yet). Thanks.

The PNR No. is: 4118530584. I was very lucky to get it (before the quota ran out!)! Thanks, sir, for your wishes.

Sorry, I don't get the first part of your reply. Expecting your kind clarification. Nevertheless, happy that you got CK. Even if you had booked that RLWL, I still stand by my view that it would have got confirmed.

Let me clarify, sir... When I had posted my query on March 26, the RLWL74 referred to in the post implied the then current 'Accommodation Availability Enquiry' status at that point of time of posting my query. I hadn't booked any WL (i.e., RLWL) ticket in the first place. The RLWL was the 'Ticket Availabilty' status. So, as I wasn't sure about the probability of this RLWL getting confirmed (or, moving into RAC at least), I hadn't gone ahead and purchased the RLWL ticket. Had I booked this RLWL74 current status ticket, I'd have posted the query under the PNR category. On the day the Tatkal booking opened, I was fortunate enough to get the confirmed Tatkal e-ticket (with PNR No.: 4118530584) - the entire Tatkal Quota on that day was gone in under 5 minutes after the online booking opened at 11 AM. I have edited the original post just...

The ticket's current status is CNF/A2/8/NC for Train # 12474 Telangana Express (Boarding point: Bhopal Jn., and Reservation upto: Secunderabad Jn.) for scheduled departure @ 03:30 Hrs on 20th November. What is meant by 'NC' here? A few hours ago, the current status showed up as CNF/A2/8/UB; but this has since changed to CNF/A2/8/NC! This is some 4 hours before departure (# 12474 scheduled departure being @ 03:30 Hrs from Bhopal Jn.) on 20th November. Please advise. Thanks.

Thanks, Vinay. But, 'No Choice' in what sense or context?! For option/choice of berth? Does this mean a different berth had been allotted than what was requested (i.e., Lower Berth having been requested) at the time of booking? Even then, why did the status change from CNF/A2/8/UB to CNF/A2/8/NC (the berth number remains the same, i.e., berth #8. So, why change/replace the 'UB' with the 'NC'? In that case, it could have been mentioned earlier itself as CNF/A2/8/UB/NC. Why change it now?

One explanation I found online - "When railway ticket is booked you must have noticed your booking status as CNF/D1/100/NC. CNF means confirmed and NC means ‘No Choice’. In case you have selected seat preference like window seat etc. and that seat is not available then it is indicated as NC in ticket and another available seat is allotted." click here
.
Another short explanation - "NC Means….No Concession….Confirmed by IRCTC customer care" click here
.
...

Frankly, neither seems very logical since if berth number is given, you already know whether your choice was given or not. And similarly what is the point of mentioning No Concession, I dont understand.

AP Express (Train No. 12724) Tuesday's (July 28) departure from New Delhi was delayed from Gwalior onward, right until it finally reached Hyderabad (final destination) at 22:40 Hrs on Wednesday (29th July) - a delay of nearly 3 hours. Please let me know if there was any specific reason for this delay? Thanks.

We need to book 3 tickets (3 passengers) for 2AC on this train (Sabari Express) for HYB-ERN on 27th May. At present, as I write this, there's only one 2AC seat Available. This would mean the second and third passengers would be placed on RAC1 and RAC2 respectively. Given that the travel date (May) is peak tourist season (summer vacation), and that there is only one 2AC coach for this train, what are the chances of the RAC1 and RAC2 getting confirmed by the day of travel (i.e., 27th May). If the seniors/experts opine there are very good chances of the RAC1 and RAC2 getting confirmed, then I shall go ahead make the booking. Please advise.

People book tickets and hold, your ticket may or may not move now itself towards confirmation....But as DOJ approaches near it shall move for sure since many book tickets and can see dropouts, cancellations only at last moment and since yours is only RAC 1 & RAC 2 you can very much sure and relax that it shall confirm.

What is the quota for reservation from HYB up to to CBE (i.e., total number of available tickets at the start of booking on the 60-day ARP date) set apart for General quota for 2AC from HYB-CBE for this train. Is this quota less than the HYB-TVC (or, HYB-ERN) 2AC General quota? Please advise.

Sir, sorry if I'm being naive here, but from what you and Maniaco say, would it make more sense to reserve from HYB-ERN for 2AC paying the couple of hundred or so extra bucks (i.e., even if the disembarking stn. is CBE), so that one can have ('theoretically' at least) a better prospect or probability of getting a confiromed 2AC ticket than if booking is attempted under the HYB-CBE quota. Please advise sir.

generally the budget is passed on the last day of this session.
And once its passed , GOVT can issue d gazetted notification.
Budget Session will end in first or second week of March , and then within 1-2 week Govt may bring the notification
I think thats how the India TV and Manoj Sinha estimated the timeline

There are 3 general compartments. 2 GS present on sleeper side and 1 GS on AC side. Since you will be boarding from BSP you should stand towards loco side. Inspite of my repetitive intimations, the CC hasn`t been updated.
