I have booked tickets in both 3A and 2A for tomorrow's sealdah-duronto with their PNR status as
/pnr/post/1205308 and /pnr/post/1205301
Though My inclination is for 2A for family reasons.
Which has a higher probability of converting to a confirmed ticket ??

Yes, thank you all for your favored opinions.
The only gotcha I had in mind was that - there are only 3 bogies for 2AC, while 10 bogies for 3AC.
So confirmation for 3AC seemed to be expected progression, but 2AC seemed dicey.

2AC has 52 x 3 = 156 berths.
of which, 95 is used in general quota, 30 in tatkal quota, 9 berths for RAC (18 RAC total), 6 berths as Lower berth quota, so you get 140 berths used up completely. Also 4 pax are above you, so in remaining 16 seats, 4 are taken by them (priority wise). Now in remaining 12 berths, you have to get 4 berths which now seems to be difficult as these will be used up by parliament/HO quota. So, CANCEL it and go for 3AC...

Are there spare tickets under VIP quotas that help in confirmation just during chart preparation or are there other things also at play ??
As I had heard last, the preference of ticket confirmation first goes to the tatkal tickets and then only to the general ones, is that correct ?

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
