So now the trip has started off officially and we are on the move. Feel bad that I could not walk down to check on the engine. Thanks to my son.
So now a wonderful news.... room freshener being sprayed and by the way it was being sprayed we all wondered if it was some fumigation going on. But it turned out to be otherwise. And entire coach laughed out loud, including the attender for my son's comment - I don't like this cockroach spray.
Just now realized that no vendor has reached our compartment though we are fast approaching Chengalpet. Really surprising given that there were vendors on the train even before it started at Egmore
So with the worthless watery sambar and rubbery idly the day's breakfast is done.
Update - now have tweeted about the over charging of food sold at platforms to both DRM chennai and Suresh Prabhu sir. Hoping some action so that general public is not fleeced.
Lovely response from ministry of railways. I had missed to provide my seat or pnr details but had provided coach number. TTE was made to locate me, sorry for him, and the details about the complaint was received and duly passed up the ladder.
