Started rt from ndls at 12:55. Accumulated a 70 mins delay upto cnb.The first rajdhani 12454 arrived 130 mins after departure of 12274 but still the whole gang of rajdhani manages to ot in ald-mgs section. It shows that
1) Priority of the train has degraded to that of a normal sf.
2) Lack of ER interest in asking the other zone to run this duronto with a little bit of priority
Getting looped in a section for such a long time in the already super congested section.
4) Passengers are being made the real fool by railways by travelling in this train by paying surge price.
5) Duronto are also rajdhani type train. So they should get their share of priority

Ye jabardasti chal rahi hai. IMO This and SDAH Drnt must be combined (with CC of this 12273/4) and must to run on 12273/12274 slot daily, with high priority. HWH-NDLS already have 2 daily deluxe Ranjdhani. Let middle class pax enjoy this prioritized ride in this section.

I was going through the U.P. map, and thought an idea about making this station as the junction station, as shown in the map. This new route can also be the alternative to congested NDLS-CNB route, especially for CNB terminating trains, coming from NDLS side.
Example Shram Shakti Express, via GZB-MB-BE-HRI-ON-CNB. This overall route may take 8 hours for a superfast, but will improve the timings for NDLS-CNB pax of this train.
Also the trains from Farukhhabad (like JP-LJN Express) can come to Hardoi directly from Farukhhabad, skipping CNB (JP-CNB section
already have too many trains).
Among BSK, Vaishali, Gorakhdham etc, those take LKO-CNB-ETW-TDL route, a one or two can be diverted via LKO-HRI-FBD-SKB-TDL route. With so many trains from NDLS and Bihar to CNB, I dont think CNB will have any problem in diverting 1-2 trains.
In future, after electrification and speed upgradation of the section, Even a few Rajdhani's can also be diverted through this route.
Also, Can be an alternate NDLS-ALD route via: MB-BE-HRI-ON-UCR.
Suggestions please.

There are plenty of alternatives for super congested NDLS-CNB route, but railway board never shows interest in constructing a bridge across the mighty GANGES river. Presently, a proposal for connecting MADHOGANJ & KANNAUJ is to be brought on ground but God knows when would it actually start. KASGANJ-Atrauli-KHURJA was earlier proposed to de-congest NDLS-CNB but it went in vain. Now let's see what is destined for KANNAUJ-MADHOGANJ. De-Congesting NDLS-CNB is the need of the hour for Railway board but it seems numerous mishaps occurring on this section has also not moved the board for remedial measures.

Speed and time issues. Ndls-Aljn-Tdl-Etw-Cnb route is the fastest where train slam 447 km in 5 hours flat. Add 74 km of Cnb-Lko makes it 521km but still it is fastest. On the other hand LKO-BE-MB-NDLS is 492 but still takes 8 hours. Once that route is made 130 fit. we can hope some respite for congested routes.

alternative routes exist even now, the primary issue is of MPS.
unfortunately, even the new lines being built aren't being build with an eye on the future and most of them are at most 110 fit; many are usually cleared for 80 or 100
As sanjeev sir said below, even if the main alternative route is made 130 fit it will go a long way in alleviating the problems of the people, beside giving the people on the alternative line faster options to travel, but no steps are being taken in that regard.

Awesome video, but a complaint against this controlling. 6kms after HBJ, route of ACSF is separate, so instead of making this train halt at HBJ, they could have just brought to BPL and then no overtaking would have taken place!

Actually,AC Exp was running heavily ahead of it's schedule..Later even Rewanchal Exp departed before it..Since BPL is too congested,halting it there for an hour makes no sense..So,no issues with controlling..

I traveled in this train 2 weeks back. In TB, it was mentioned :- Rake no. 2. My coach was B1 which was the last coach (before EOG) of the train. That means different rakes have different pattern!

Yaar, I traveled in this train 2 weeks back from NDLS to CNB. My coach was B1, which the second last coach. (Last was EOG obviously). Thats why I am telling this. That day at NDLS, before coach indicator showing its coaches, I stood at the beginning of the platform, but then saw that there was Sleeper coach. Then I walked to the other end of the platform for my coach. Also while deboarding at CNB, It was CNB Station board and half of the EOG was on the ramp side of the platform. I am deadly sure about Rake number 2.

It's true. I travelled in 12801 rake-2 on 19th March and the rake was reverse. it's the only rake which is reverse of other 3 rakes.

I think, 1 day (only 1 time, wither UP or DOWN) this rake must take GZB-DLI-NDLS route. Everything will come back to normal!

Then were many trains in IR which got short terminated, was rerouted or faced extension on both sides (source and destination) in the due course of time. I have remembered a few of them.plzz tell me if u know some other such case.
4. COCHIN - HWH EXP => COCHIN - PATNA=> rerouted via ASN-KGP as ERS - PNBE EXP
5. BSB - TPTY EXP => rerouted to become ERS - BSB EXP => ERS - PNBE EXP
7.Gaya - Nagpur Deekshabhumi Exp => Dhanbad - Kolhapur
8.Bhopal - Rajkot Exp => Jabalpur - Veraval => Jabalpur - Somnath
9. Dhanbad Ahmedabad Parasnath Exp => Asansol Ahmedabad => Asansol Bhavnagar

I myself edited and cutshort the number of zones from 17 to 9. Just see between these 2, which is would be more apt? The one with NWR and ECR or the one with NCR and NFR?

Great reduction! And we the states like Karnataka stand with a begging bowl to get new coaches or train in front of SR, SCR. There were/are hardly any Kannadigas in SR/SWR - SBC division. The SR HQ recruited a lot of people from the HQ state. That struggle for jobs, some trains led to creation of SWR. It is not the best, but things are better than past. More locals are getting recruited and earning a livelihood.

In your re-drawn map, both SER and ER have Kolkata included in it. So easy for someone from Kolkata to give HQ of both SER and ER to one city.
Currently, SER earns major revenue from Jharkhand; how about batting for the HQ to be shifted to Jharkhand?

a better idea for that is this two step process:
step 1) eliminate post of RM
step 2) eliminate IR's old age home i.e. RB
with full autonomy on divisional and zonal level decision making would improve, loss making empty trains (often politically motivated) that unnecessarily eat valuable time slots can be either removed or clubbed together and a greater share of profits created
in zones like SECR and ECoR will used to be run passenger services there, not subsidise passenger operation in zones that are politically important.

Timings at ALD should be: Arrival @ 12:05 AM (instead of 12:30 AM)
Departure @ 12:20 AM (instead of 1:20 AM).
Basically I want to shift a little bit of slack to ALD-CNB section so that it easily covers this section in 3+ hours, or else what will happen is even it gets late at CNB by 1 hours, Rajdhani Gang will further thrash it and it will get additional 1-1.5 hours late. Also, I think no need for Loco change at ALD as again it has to take Diesel loco from
