No, when it comes to Shatabdi, nothing pretty much beats the erstwhile JHS, now HBJ Shatabdi...
Moreover the AGC-MTJ line of NR line was rebuilt specifically for this train to enjoy 140, then 150 runs...LKO Shatabdi never got any such exclusive priviledges...
It is only recently that the CNB stretch has been upgraded to 140 capable speeds!
When it came to Shatabdis, 12001/2 has
always been the benchmark!

Your argument is clearly flawed....
AP SF is a legendary train but heritage and facility wise it offered nothing new...
The executive library that you talk so fondly off was first put inside the once legendary Imperial Mail, it also had first class dinning cars, state of the art technology and high priviledges with exorbitant fares...
The Kalka Mail was the original Rajdhani...and it
is the longest continously running board guage train in IR
It had a first class full residential coach and Guest rooms for the Viceroy and his guests, state of the art facilities and a dedicated carriageway built at HWH & KLK, the carriageway stills remains functional at HWH & the present HWH RAJ departs from here...
The Bangalore mail which is even older than the Kalka is another underated heavyweight which often gets burried...
And with all due respect amongst the 4 champion trains that you mentioned, there is a clear winner in the TN SF. It gets unprecented priority for a 110 SF, comparable to the priority that the 130 permitted and much over-rated SK.
And finally, AP got oted by the WR King, the train that arguably (Arguable because it's chief Rival, Contemporary and competitor, the HWH RAJ also receives similar treatment) has the highest priority on IR tracks....
And BTW, not to offend you... correct me if I am wrong but AP Express started off in 1976, by then the King had been burning the tracks for 4 years :P
Due to the closure of the DHN-CRP line this train has been cancelled indefinetely!
However in the recent meeting held between ER, ECR & SER at Garden Reach [News Entry# 306136] /news/post/306136 , This train along with a few others is said to be diverted between DHN & BKSC via PEH, BJE. The train may go via CRP or via IPTN, here I am using the IPTN line. as it is in the process of being further devloped .

have tried to create a probable TT of this after this plan of diversion gets the nod from the RB. TT from DBG to DHN set to remain unchanged. Since the new TT needs to make way for 3 new rake reversals, I am doing away with the engine change at BJU and making the train run with diesel traction upto DHN. I also felt it necessary to speed up the train between CRJ & DHN to disturb the TT after DHN as less as possible... This was also done to prevent a probable slot clash with Black Diamond At DHN the E-loco gets attached at the front side while the D-loco remains attached at the hind-side, the train undergoes QLRs at PEH & BJE, at BJE the D-loco is detached and the train continues it's forward journey with the attached E-loco...
Due to the generous slack that this train was awarded in it's TT, it was possible to stretch the overall TT just by 15 mins, that is, this train takes only 15 mins extra to cover up the overall journey but the resultant TT had to be made tighter with less slack-time been alloted...
Please flag this train and suggestations for further improvement are always welcome :)

I understand what you are saying...
But there is no tracks anymore between Jharia and Dhanbad...
They had to be dismantled due to the Jharia underground fire! And there is no way connection can resume because the fire is still burning...
Under JRDA, the entire town of Jharia is still being shifted, after this shift is complete a new Jharia station and a new
line was supposed to be built...
With now, the DHN-CRP line now decomissioned, this is the only way that train can run from DHN towards ADRA-BKSC without going via GOMOH...
ECR & DHN Div don't want to burden GOMOH any further, hence as per this article, after a meeting at Garden Reach, ER, ECR & SER all three have agreed to run 17005/17007, RNC-BGP Exp, RNC-KYQ Exp via this route...
RNC-JYG is set to short terminate and originate from DHN!

Was garib rath getting any patronage... As per earlier blogs it was flop. Hardly 12 coaches... Popular Garibrath have 18-20 coach.

It was not a flop!
It experienced peaks of seasonal rush, mainly this train was extended for the scores of students from Jharkhand who study in Odisha!
It did it's job and now that it stands is being sorely missed :(

I dont know why such selective discussion is going on in this area,..
Many trains have been cancelled and it is already known fully well that all cannot be restored...
abhi ye ho raha hai ki kisi ko surat jana hai to wo surat ki train restore kerwa raha hai , kisi ko secunderabad jana hai to wo secunderabad ki train restore kerwa raha hai.... it means that people are thinking about themselves and not about whole region...
rather than this weekly train ,. people should demand for a regular daily train which will connect this region to places from where they can get connecting train to other part of India....
Focus should be such that everyone get some benefit from a train because many people are in difficulty...
also people should ask government to develop alternative route quickly and constructive feedback should be there.... doing rail roko will not help anyone..
