saishiv 1 blog postsMy wife will be taking 01063 CSTM-MAS A/C special on 30th May. I find that this train has been given 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the journey of 63 KM between LNL and PUNE. IRI lists 2 overtakes (16339 and 17031), but still I find 2:15 too long. Any thoughts on this?

01063 is scheduled to be OT by 11011 LTT NED Exp, 16339 CSMT NCJ Express, and 17031 CSMT HYB express upto PA ... There after it is expected to same TT as 11073 LTT MAS Weekly Express(MON)....So, a re-overtake is scheduled as well (Needless to say very foolishly built TT)
However being a holiday special , on most days , it gets delayed by PA and/or SUR division by a big time margin ...so, these OTs really are not needed ...but multiple other OTs do happen...

MumbaiExpress 92 blog postsThis train should be halting at Karjat Jn. (KJT) for attaching bankers towards Pune direction. Some one needs to confirm this , so that is useful for Kalyan(KYN) bound passengers and can book tickets upto Pune rather than Panvel (PNVL) or Vasai Rd(BSR).

Agreed but as on today , road is in pathetic condition. Lots of construction/repair work is going on. Heavy Traffic jam enroute at any time of the day is seen. So, KJT to KYN by EMU remains a better option.
