See maybe you are not aware of the fact that we are not Communistic Socialist but Democratic Socialist, i.e. we believe in mixed economy, the goods of both world. So example of US vs USSR is bogus here and US is never a good example for us, we associate more with European countries than with US. US has absolutely pathetic public transport system though and they shouldn't even be in conversation of public transportation topic.

Since you're a big private company guy to ussi example se smjho,jaise ek project hota hai, aur uss project par ek team work karti hai, team mai members bhi hote Hain, team members ka definite role hota hai lekin woh ek dusre ko check bhi karte hain ki nahi? Even European countries prosperity is coz of Capitalism here. Democratic or not Socialism is Socialism the government controlling all the means of production. India still has Socialist elements infact a lot one of them being running PSUs which they should not in the first place. Even some Capitalist countries provide free services like health, public transport to senior citizens, etc. these are called welfare and only feasible in a capitalist system having surplus revenues to finance these welfare schemes and the govt. may protect certain strategic industries from foreign competition it's fine. Education, Health, Defence, Law and order are the things the govt. should provide in any system.

Okay, I'm just gonna point there is big difference between democratic socialism and communist socialism, it's not an extreme form of either side which we and many European countries do follow, only difference is there one can question their leaders freely and here we can't.
Sure our views don't match on this subject and you have put up yours thoughts decently and informatively, which I appreciate. Discussing further will only derail what this site is for.
