The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), Shri. Manoj Arora, inspected the new line sections and gave its safe certificate. A speed trial of 125 kmph was conducted successfully in the newly opened line. Chief Administrative Officer construction/Shri. Avanish Kumar Pandey and DRM/Nagpur Shri. Tushar Kant Pandey also inspected the new line. With this new 23.69 km line opening, CR has completed the construction of 185.49 km of new lines/double line/3rd/4th lines from April-December 2023. Wardha-Nanded New line (via Yavatmal-Pusad) Nagpur div. -Length: 284.65 km -Overall Physical Progress: 47% -Cost: ₹ 3445.48 Cr -Expenditure till date: ₹ 1910.07 Crs. -Funding pattern: Railways: 60% State govt: 40% -Land acquisition completed: 1911/2138 Hectare (89%) -Total stations: 26 -Completed stations: 4 Completed Section: 38.61 km. Wardha-Kalamb. In Progress Sections: 246.05 km Kalamb-Nanded In Progress Works: -Earthwork: 87.54/201.14 Lcum (44%) -Formation: 40/284.60 km -Major Bridges: 32/80 completed -Minor Bridges: 50/320 completed -Road over bridge (ROB): 43 In Progress -Road under bridges (RUB): 19/52 completed -Station Buildings: 4/26 -Tunnels: 6 in progress of total 8 km length -Track Linking: 40/284.60 km The completion of this new line will improve connectivity of Vidarbha & Marathwada region for Wardha, Yavatmal, Washim, Nanded districts. CR completed 185.50 km of new line/doubling/3rd/4th line from April'23 to till date CR planned ₹ 3887 Crs for new lines/doubling/3rd/4th line this year ₹ 3006 Crs expenditure done till date (77%)
