Recently CLW has Rolled Out a WAP-5 Locomotive having Loco No:30086 with IGBT Based Propulsion System which is the 1st WAP-5 of Indian Railways having Speed Potential of 200km/hr. This Loco was 1st allotted to BRC Shed but later after completion of Field Trial of this Locomotive in the Last Month it is finally allotted to Ghaziabad ELS of Northern Railway.

All members are requested please NOTE the name of Trains which are presently running with WAP-7 & WAP-5 regularly in the REPLY to this Blog from your Zone. ALL of you know that many WAP-7/WAP-5 trains are presently run with WAP-4 and other Conventional Loco like 12259/12260, HWH Ranchi Shatabdi, NDLS Ranchi Rajdhani etc. So ALL are requested Please POST the name of those Trains ONLY which are running regularly with WAP-7/WAP-5 NOW including Rajdhani, Duronto & Shatabdi.

This blog will remain in this Forum as #HighspeedLocosurvey. So that all can see how many trains of Indian Railways are hauled by WAP-5 & WAP-7. From this Blog people can also draw a conclusion and statistical percentage about Trains hauled by 3 Phase Loco among total number of Mail/Exp Trains in IR network which in future will help all of you to "JUDGE THE RELIABILITY AND PERFORMANCE OF 3-PHASE LOCO OVER THEIR CONVENTIONAL COUNTERPARTS".
