22149/50 has been decided to run with diesel traction till further notice.

This is due to unavailability of passenger e locos and getting delayed due to speed limited locos like wag5/wag9 and unavailability of wap7/wap4 locos at Pune and Ers

On paper, it might seem like 110 and 100 kmph don't make a huge difference, but in reality they do. Even assuming just a 10 hour run at 110 kmph vs 100 kmph, the difference in distance covered is a whooping 100 km. So yes, MPS actually matters. Secondly, Diesels also do the job well. During ALCO era, Bihar Sampark Kranti frequently covered GKP-LKO in 3:30-3:45 hrs with a single WDM-3A/D + 24 overloaded ICF coaches.

What you say sounds correct arithmetically. But practically, the train wont travel continuously for 110 kmph for 10 hours. We need to see the time spent by train above 100 per hour which will be less than 15 mins per hour. KR being single line, the train will have unscheduled halts, then scheduled halts, TSR/PSR... taken everything togather, there is hardly any time saving by giving a loco of 110.
Further, idont doubt the capacity of Diesel. They do the job perfectly, including Alco.

Brother as I think most of the wag9 locos are limited at 90/95 kmph . Beyond that limit they cannot go being a goods electric locomotive
