Saath hi saare rail sampatti aur rail aawas waapas karne ka disha-nirdesh jaari kar diya hai. Keyman ki barakastgi ko lekar karmachari sangathanon mein rosh hai. CRS report mein yeh bhi bataya gaya hai ki station master ne train ko control mein lene mein jaldi nahin dikhayi.

Gorakhpur station management has proposed this expansion to the Lucknow division, who are already preparing for it. The change will benefit passengers on stations between Gorakhpur and Barhani, and reduce the load on Gorakhpur platform. This is because Gorakhpur station experiences significant pressure from the increasing number of trains. The station management is planning to extend the terminating points of some trains to other stations, easing the load on Gorakhpur. Daily, 8-10 coaches become unfit due to washing and repairs, requiring maintenance on the sick line. The mentioned trains often block the line for hours due to maintenance in Gorakhpur: Train number 20103 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 11 hours, 11081 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 14 hours, 11037 (Gorakhpur-Pune) for 15 hours, 13507 (Gorakhpur-Asansol) for 15 hours, 19409 (Gorakhpur-Ahmedabad) for 12 hours, and 11055 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 10 hours.

The accident resulted in four deaths and 25 injuries. Following the accident, rescue operations were initiated, and a CRS investigation was ordered. The investigation involved questioning officials and staff related to railway safety, security, signaling, engineering, mechanical, and traffic. Train number 15904, departing from Chandigarh on the night of July 17th at 11:59 PM, was traveling at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour. It reached Gonda railway station at 2:25 PM on July 18th and left at 2:28 PM. The train derailed and overturned at 2:41 PM, between Motiganj and Jhilahi Bazaar, around 18 kilometers from Gonda headquarters. Of the train's 24 coaches, 14 derailed, including six AC coaches and two coaches following the engine.

Jaankari ke anusar, hadse ke samay train ki raftaar 90 km pratighante se adhik thi. Gonda muख्यालय se karib 18 kilometer door Motiganj-Jhilahi bazaar ke beech 2.41 baje train bepatri ho kar palat gayi. 24 coach wali train ke ek-ek kar 14 coach patri se utar gaye, jinmen se engine ke baad lage do coach samay AC ki chhe bogियां palat gayi thi.
