I would really like SER to explain and justify the quota allocation for BKSC-PNBE sector of this train.
2S - 80 against RNC-PNBE 1084
CC- 12 against RNC-PNBE 37
8%...
more... seats allocated to BKSC. This looks like a big joke to be very honest for a station which is a major boarding point for this train after RNC. I can pick todayтАЩs chart and calculate total boarding numbers from BKSC. Even Muri is under General quota. If I file an RTI, average number of passengers boarding will be higher than allocated seats due to WL tickets getting cleared. This really fluctuates the number of passengers booking a confirmed seat and everyday BKSC-PNBE is wait listed but seats are available from RNC. This even impacts the revenue contribution of BKSC if we limit number of seats. Now, those having WL ticket may clear but not everyone will keep WL ticket till chart preparation or book from Muri and change boarding point.
This is beyond any logical explanation.
17/03/2024 BKSC boarding 76 in CC
please wait...Translate to EnglishYo, I really wanna know why SER decided to give out such few seats to the BKSC-PNBE route on this train. Like seriously, only 80 2S seats out of 1084 from RNC-PNBE and just 12 CC seats out of 37 from RNC-PNBE are for BKSC. They say 8% is for BKSC, but that sounds like a major joke, man. BKSC is a super important boarding spot after RNC! If I check today's chart, I bet the number of people boarding from BKSC is way more than the allocated seats. Even Muri falls under General quota while BKSC is getting short-changed. If I put in an RTI, I bet the actual number of passengers boarding is gonna be way more than these assigned seats 'cause of WL tickets getting cleared. The current system messes with the confirmed seats, and every day, BKSC-PNBE is on the waitlist but seats are chill from RNC. This also affects BKSC's revenue 'cause limiting the seats means less dough. Some of those WL ticket holders might get in, but not everyone will stick to WL or switch boarding points at the last minute from Muri.
Honestly, this makes zero sense! On 17/03/2024, there were 76 people boarding from BKSC in CC.
