Train operations on the affected section were halted. The train, numbered 20802, had departed Dumraon station at 11:00 AM and was carrying 22 coaches, including AC and sleeper coaches, as well as general and disability compartments. The incident occurred just 7 minutes after the train's departure from Dumraon station. The incident triggered a response from the railway authorities, with the Railway Protection Force deploying a team to the scene. The front section of the train was brought to Raghunathpur station, while the rear section remained on the track.
