Quota distribution totally depends on the zone and division's decision, mate. Here's an example: when you hop on the 18619/20 Intercity Express, you'll only find the GNWL quota. Here's the breakdown: RNC to MURI (including MURI) falls under the SER/RNC division, MURI (excluding) to CRP (excluding) falls under the SER/ADRA division, CRP (including) to PKA (including) falls under the ECR/DHN division, PKA (excluding) to DUMK (including) falls under the ER/ASN division, and DUMK (excluding) to GODA falls under the ER/MLDT division. SER has plenty of room to fit BKSC under the GNWL quota for trains coming from the SER/RNC and SER/CKP divisions.

SER BKSC ko achhe se GNWL quota mein adjust kar sakti hai SER/RNC aur SER/CKP division se shuru hone wali trains ke liye.

Extendin' trains like those headin' to Delhi and North India ain't gonna happen. Just sayin'. Extending trains only gonna hurt the startin' and endin' stations, you feel me?

Point samjha, par aise chhuttiyan Dilli aur North India bound trains jaise comparatively long routes wali trains ke liye nahi milegi.
Umeed hai tune mera point samjha. Isiliye mujhe lagta hai ki kisi bhi train ka extension shuru mein originating ya terminating stations ke liye badi nuksan hai.

Okay, so basically what you're saying sounds right. I filed a RTI for this, and man, the results were insane...

KCVL has an empty spot (pit line number 4). But if they use it, it's gonna mess up the other pitlines at KCVL, so they won't be able to run any new or special trains from there.

So, sadly, Alappuzha doesn't have a maintenance shed, coaching shed, wagon depot shed, or C&W officers. All they got is this pitline setup. (Meanwhile, Shoranur with space for 10 ICF coaches has all those facilities and just runs a few Nilambur Road Passenger Train rakes)

They should've built those facilities instead of messing up the pitline. Building a new pitline nowadays ain't no walk in the park and Alappuzha lucked out having one.

One good thing though, one train got extended to TVC. There's a pic with that proposal attached for reference.

Now, Southern Railway could make use of this pitline by doing maintenance for the Alappuzha Chennai Central Express and its paired train at Chennai. This way, they could ease up congestion at the Basin Bridge yard and free up slots for new trains out of Chennai.

However, to make this happen, they gotta speed up the Chennai Allappey Express from Palakkad Junction to ALLP because currently it crawls at 60 KMPH in Kerala, but it's capable of 120 KMPH from CBE to MAS. If they hustle, it could reach ALLP before 8 AM for maintenance in the 6-hour slot.

They should also think of using the Alappuzha Executive Express for this plan...

KCVL mein free slots hain (pit line number 4). Par yeh KCVL ke pitlines ke occupation & loading par asar dal dega, jisse no new ya special trains wahan se operate nahi kar sakte.

Dukh ki baat hai ki Alappuzha mein koi IOH SHED, COACHING SHED, WAGON DEPOT SHED ya C&W OFFICERS nahi hain. Yahan sirf pitline workline facility hai. (Shoranur mein 10 ICF coaches ki pitline capacity hone ke bawajood, sabhi facilities hain aur sirf 2 se 3 train rakes of Nilambur Road Passenger Trains Rakes ki maintenance kar raha hai)

Par SR ko yeh facilities banani chahiye thi pitline mitane ke bajay kyunki aaj kal pitline banane ka kaam itna aasan nahi hai aur Allappey ko yeh khushi ho gayi hai kyu ki unke paas already hai.

Ismein ek chhoti si asar hai, sirf ek train TVC tak badh gayi. Us proposal ki tasveer bhi readers ke liye attach ki gayi hai.

Par iske liye, Chennai Allappey express ko Palakkad Junction se ALLP tak speed up karna hoga kyu ki yeh trains ka top speed kerala route mein sirf 60 KMPH hai jabki CBE se MAS tak 120 KMPH hai. Taki yeh ALLP subah 8 baje tak pahuch sake aur wahin par 6 ghante ka Scheduled slot ke saath maintenance ka kaam kar sake.

Alappuzha executive express bhi iske liye consider kar sakte hain...
