This train has been slowed down by nearly 2 hours over the course of a decade? Except for Jhargram, no halts added b/w LKO and KGP/HIJ, still it's TT is different now. It boggles my mind even more because back in the day, it used to undergo loco change at both LKO NR and MGS; thus 30 mins stop at both sections. Now with stoppage of 10 mins at both stations each, it ought to have gained 40 minutes and become faster. But nope, it has reached BSB an hour later than what it used to do a decade ago.
Is...
more... this how India is competing with China? The latter runs actual High speed rail whereas we slow our existing trains in real terms by multiple hours for no reason.
