Konkan Railway covers only 3 states of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka only .But the mostly benefitted state is Kerala only .Even no single train is operated from Mumbai to Interior Karnataka via Konkan and Karwar to interior Karnataka via Madgoan of Konkan route.

Even entire Goa is not benefitted by KR. KR could run trains to Vasco and Kulem, Sanvordem but due to zonal politics of KR and SWR no such thing happened.
