This committee will play a crucial role in deciding the route and timing of city buses, the location of feeder lines, and the integration of metro and other public transport systems. Additionally, the state government is setting up Metro Special Planning Authorities (MSPAs) in Indore and Bhopal to oversee construction projects within a 1 km radius of the metro line. These MSPAs will ensure that flyovers, bridges, roads, and other constructions are planned in harmony with the metro's operations and future expansion. The UMTA and MSPAs will be operational by the end of this year, enabling a more efficient and coordinated approach to urban transportation planning.
