Passenger is to contact Broker.
The same case happened with my family member. He said to get a ticket in any class even in SL if not available in ACs.
Broker gave counter (PRS) ticket in Tatkal from DHN to Visakhapatnam (A.P) and further trains goes ahead till Kerela via Chennai.

Then I just came to know at 8:30 pm. And asked for PNR.
Booking Status was: W/L 23, CK (in Tatkal)
It got confirm when Chart Prepared at night itseft around 10pm.
I just got doubt whether he gave ticket with different name. Broker took Rs 1000. I checked Fare Rs. 595 (including Tatkal of Rs. 132) on offical site click here
Next morning the Traveller confirmed me that correct name is displayed on the Chart.

I also check on "Current Booking Availability" at DHN and found that 1 seat was even left which was till Last station Alleppy.

**** VSKP-BBS-GMO-GAYA ****
FOR RETURNING, I was asked to book ticket.
Then I seached full night looking from VSKp to RNC/HTE, TATA, R-BSP, BBS, HWH, ASN.
Finally found BBS Rajdhani, SC-GHY Puja Special (till BWN) & 3rd East Coast (avl from SC, boarding needed to change to VSKp resulting fare difference of Rs. 480)

Fare Analysis:
1) VSKP-BBS = 705 (in Konark Exp.) and BBS-GAYA = 1490 (734 kms in 22811 Rajdhani)
2) VSKP-BWN = 1580 (969 kms in 07149 SC-GHy Puja Specail)
3) SC-HWH = 1640, HWH-DHN = 360 (259 kms in 12249/HWH-NDLS Yuva). whereas VSKP-HWH fare = 1160 [difference of Rs. 480) if BP changing to VSKP]
So, Booked in 22811/BBS-NDLS Rajdhani from BBS. Entry# 1608087 /pnr/post/1608087
And VSKP-BBS in 18507/VSKP-ASR Hirakund Express. [PNR yet to post on IRI]
