and can be completed within 4-5 years and another good news came that by Dec 2017 ET-JBP section will get fully electrified as of now 70% of efication work is completed b/w ET-JBP and ET-PPI section work is already completed and remaining work is going on b/w PPI-JBP so by Jan 2018 we can hope elocos on ET-JBP section and may be by march 2018 we can hope JBP-KTE work completion also so hope for the best
First of all let me make it clear that news papers are giving wrong info. The length of new line will be 342 km ie from Gadarwada to Indore. From JBP to Gadarwara there will be old line. Therefore from JBP to INDB distance will be 135(approx) + 342 = 477. And it won't make a very very huge difference as the current distance is 555 odd kms via Mkc. This line is to serve more remote areas of MP. Rest everything which is mentioned here, (which is supposed to change drastically) you can calculate what will happen. Thanx
* As per newspaper reports, rail route from Indore to Jabalpur via Dewas, Kannod, Khategaon, Budhani and Gadarwara was surveyed. Total 30 stations were planned on the route. * JBP-Gadarwara 129km & INDB-Dewas 39km line already exist. New INDB-JBP route is likely to be 470KMs i.e. only about 85 kms shorter i.e. journey time may reduce only by 1-2 hrs and not by 4 hrs as was expected for 342km total route length.
