For stay, I would suggest Homestays near Jog Falls (Reseve Camp area). If u arrive in the morning, get down at Sagara and take bus to Sigandur. Return to Sagara by noon. Then take bus to Jog Falls. Check in homestay and visit Jog Falls in the evening. Next day, check-out and continue your journey towards next destination. Nearby, u can visit Honnemaradu, Sharavathi Nature camp, etc.

I suggest take the overnight which reached Talguppa in the early moring...take any cab/auto outside station to go to Jog falls.. consider you stay there for 2-3h, catch an afternoon bus from near jog falls to Honnavar and head towards Gokarna/Murudeswar which you will reach by 6-7pm. Stay in that place and next day morning cover murudeswar temple and gokarna beach and catch the karwar train to Bangalore from Murudeswar itself ...this plan works for a weekend trip perfectly

Don't think this is the right time to visit Jog falls. Instead u can plan for a night stay in Honnemaredu (camp stays) in the reservoir back yard. As reservoir water recedes now u wil find small cliffs and they look serene in different colors. U can plan a vist to Gokarna and Murudeshwar as Alternative for a weekend.

Yes .. Best time to visit Jog Falls is in the peak rainy season. When I went in 2019, there was no water in October itself..so you cannot expect water in Jog Falls in February obviously....
