How many trains will overtake GT if its delayed by more than 30 Mins in NCR zone. Die to many trains overtake it reaches NDLS with over 2 Hrs delay.
Yesterday Goa SF, TN, 12171 & 12409 overtook GT.
Today Goa SF, TN & 12409 overtook GT.
GT is slowly and steadily loosing its fame.
The problem with GTs punctualty goes for a toss in NCR section where it has a very aggressive schedule coupled with more number of stops.

Agree that GT is slowly losing its sheen, but do not agree with TT change (leaving 30 mins early @ MAS) because 1915 hours is a very comfy time, the 30 mins will make hectic for pax and it will make them huff and puff in the maddening rush hour traffic. Of course 1915 also is rush hour but they have a breathing space there. Maybe, as you said, these old in-between small stoppages can be removed.
Habibganj (Bhopal), Raja ki Mandi (Agra) and Bellampalli in the up direction must be removed. What's the point in having 2 halts within the same city for a SF train like GT?

Similarly for TN Express, Itarsi should be removed. So many trains are there between ET and MAS (including those trains which are coming from UP, Bihar). Also, hardly anyone boards TN from ET. Removal of ET won't make any difference to TN. When trains like AP Express can skip ET (another highly prestigious train like TN) why not TN? TN has a 10 minutes long halt at BPL for crew change.

RKM Won't be Deleted. RKM Lies in The center of the city better connectivity to each and every corner.. Even If Trains are introduced without Halt at Raja Ki Mandi then also Some times later it is Added.. and B.t.W it's just 1 min Halt so not that Problem with that.

Is it possible to replace the HCPV of this train with a 3A or SL coach to make it a proper 24 coach train? In that case, TN's halt at ET can be withdrawn.
Traveled by this train last friday. MAS-Bapatla it covered in just 5 hrs. After that stopped in many stations to reach BZA almost right time.
Started at 19:40 and arrived BZA at 2:00 am.

Hope they speed up this train...no reason to stop this train in small stations to make it arrive RT at BZA. It started 25 min late a MAS and arrived spot on at GDR.

Jerking is due to CBC coupling I guess,has slack from Bapatla to BZA could be reduced a bit..
ya but its very bad...People not able to sleep properly dude to those sudden jerks. This Old man needs LHB immediately. A true express goes to national capital. Train of all regions...

Yes a perfect train. Very few trains of SR maintained very neatly...GT one of them.
If GT is a clean train then Nilgiris will be a beauty contest winner.
I traveled 2 times by this train as of now..Once sleeper and second 2AC...Both are clean and no waiting list passengers. Also RPF getting into train from Gudur makes travel more safer.
