"Rocket Express" is being given Exceptional Priority today got surprised a bit to see RA and PC coaches attached to it. It reached Kankavli to Karmali in just 1hr 10 mins otherwise it is at this point only where it gets peak late because of crossings of 12617 ,16346, 50108. Also, got to see it the first time 20646 Vande Bharat had to wait for crossing at Shiroor because mostly both the train cross each other at Bhatkal. 16338 Okha Express too has to wait for 30 mins at Ankola so that 12133 can cross. 12133 had to wait only for 1 crossing in Karwar i.e. for 12431 Rajdhani Express. Superb and Non-stop run being given today piercing through KR.

This is what "Rocket Express" Run should look like 😍😍, waited for 10 mins for 12431 Rajdhani crossing at Kawar but still covered 5 mins reaching Kumta otherwise always gets delayed 12-15 mins and 4 mins wait at Bhatkal for 20646 Vande Bharat crossing and from Madgaon it tried to cover every minute possible why am i saying this is that, normally after Karwar to Surathkal it gets delayed by average 10 mins at almost every halt, adding up to delay of 1 hour but the 30 minutes slack in b/w Surathkal to Mangluru makes it arrive only 25-30 mins late. Overall very happy with the consistency they are maintaining from 22nd March arriving MAJN with minimal delay. The return train 12134 however gets delayed by average 2 hours daily when it reaches Thane.

12134 UP Run was also one of the best till date. Since the pairing train reached on time it departed on time and slight delay here and there. From Bhatkal to Karwar it crawled for crossing of 16596 Panchaganga Express and at Asnoti crossing of 20645 Vande Bharat and very impressive run given after Madgaon overtook 20112 Konkan Kanya at Rajapur Road and 11004 Tutari Express at Aravali road and reached Thane with less than an hour delay.

Arrived Udupi itself 24 mins late, Bhatkal to Karwar section got delayed as usual for numerous crossings. Reached Thane 2hrs late again no effort to make up for the lost time.

This is why many of us hate SR. The crack superfast 12134 is made to wait like a dog for 2 hours to allow the 7 hours late 12201 Garib Rath to arrive and then the crawler(MAJN-MAO section) 12620 Matsyagandha Superfast to depart ahead of it. The latter waited for around 50 minutes. Anyway, the 12134 will overtake the 12620 in KR now thus delaying it further. Aren't trains running 7 hours late supposed to lose their slots and get relegated to loops to allow on-time running trains to pass-through? This is the reason, people of Karnataka are demanding the liberation of Mangalore from SR.

dont know sometimes signal operation by section controllers are so weird that such things happen. No idea why they dont give preference for superfasts and ontime running trains. Other day i saw a DEMU was given preference over Devagiri express and Double amber caution signal was given to devagiri so that it had to proceed slowly :(
