Dear Admins/senior members, please clarify the refund clause for cancellation of confirmed and unused tickets on which reservation has been made: "If the ticket is presented for cancellation between forty eight hours and up to six hours before the scheduled departure of the train, cancellation charge shall be twenty five per cent of the fare subject to a minimum of the cancellation charge."
In the above clause, does the 'scheduled departure of the train' imply the scheduled departure from that particular train's 'originating station', or the 'scheduled departure' from the 'boarding station' of the passenger with the confirmed ticket (i.e., one who is boarding the train from an intermediate station, and not from its originating station). Please clarify this point.
For...
more... e.g., if a passenger with a confirmed ticket wishes to cancel his/her ticket from an 'intermediate station' from where he/she is boarding the train (say, Bhopal for the Train #12976, JP-MYS Express, whose originating station is Jaipur), and not boarding the train from its originating station, does the above clause in respect of refund apply for the Train # 12976's 'scheduled departure' from Jaipur (originating station), or Bhopal (passenger's boarding station)? Kindly advise. Thanks.
