After alighting in Hampankatta and refreshing at MAQ, i decided to proceed towards Madgaon, My actual
destination was Karwar but i decided to travel till Madgaon and return back to Karwar. I boarded 22636 Madgaon express.

more... train is almost empty It hardly had 5 passengers in each coach from from D4-D8, roughly 25 passengers in Ac.
D1,D2,D3 had some 20 passengers in each. I should say the patronages is very poor. SR should consider extending this train to Hubli or somewhere else with one more rake. Coming to cleanliness part , it was awesome , All the coaches were 2013 made
with bio-lets and dustbin in each compartments.Kudos to MAQ base for maintaining superbly. AC compartment was a AC 3 tier coach. The 2S's Restrooms were very clean like an AC compartments. I got D5, The train was powered by Ernakulam shed's WDM 3A.Coimbatore passenger was stationed at Platform number 2 headed with an Erode Deemer. The train departed bang on time at 8:15 at Mangaluru central from Platform number 3. It slowly crawled till Mangaluru junction.
At MAQ outer SBC-KAWR express was waiting for this train. SWR should consider speeding up SBC-KAWR express, i departed from SBC at 22:44 in KSRTC bus and reached MAQ at 6:44 and proceeded to KAWR but this train was yet to reach MAQ. Finally it reached MAJN where lots of WDG 4 were halted, Our train was halted for 15 minutes for SBHR passenger and KCVL Garibrath to cross. SBHR passenger was powered with ED WDM 2.The first halt was Surathkal and then it had an unscheduled halt at Mulki where KAWR-YPR express crossed. Matsyagandha crossed us at Nandikoor with muscular WDP 4D from Golden rock shed. Then it halted at Kundapura for Tirunelveli express to cross. TEN express was really a speedster,
Then followed by CSTM-MAJN express at Bijoor but this time 12133 was waiting for this train to cross. Then it halted at Byndoor for a minute. Then started the tunnel extravaganza.GIMB-NCJ express crossed us near Bhatkal , then it reached Karwar 30 minutes behind the schedule. Then it entered through some back to tback tunnels and reached Canacona and halted for a minute. Then again it had an unscheduled halt at Balli where it was stranded for half an hour for Marusagar cross and Mangalore passenger to cross and it finally reached MAO at 15:10 hours.
RATINGS:
Speed: 6/10
It was running constantly at 60 Kmph mostly. It does not get enough proirity despity being an Intercity express
Cleanliness: 10/10
The cleanliness factor was awesome. it was super clean , Hats off to MAQ base
Maintenance: 10/10
The coaches were maintained well. All were 2013 coaches except Ac chair car which got replaced with 2005 made 3 AC
THINGS TO NOTE: After Mangalore junction there are no food vendors in this train , No pantry car as well. So please carry your food from Mangalore itself.
