CJ is dominated by bus , the sad fact is CJ is not connected properly in TN itself , since it has strategic location on SBC highway , everyone prefres bus than train . The main reason why i say CJ can be terminal is many north indians who comes to MAS loves to visit CJ temples , Similarly lots of Kannadigas visit CJ for shopping (since its a famous silk hub)and temples , So if a train starts from CJ and proceed to other states via PER byepass is double bonanza for everyone.

more... SR view on CJ : In MAS division only MAS/MS has pit lines. MAS division is least bothered about the other places. The other cities like Hyderabad got Kacheguda as new terminal same way SBC will get BYPL but Still SR is confused about terminal decision till last railway budget and no concrete decision was made. In 2014 DVS said RPM will be made 3rd terminal and no updates after that. So whatever representations made for AJJ/CJ/TRT went in vain. You can notice one interesting fact that JTJ (Yelagiri express and SBC express )and AJJ ( MAS-AJJ MEMU continues as AJJ-JTJ express after a 5 minute halt at AJJ) are only stations in MAS divsion to have an express train orginating apart from MAS/MS.
