Thanks dear! I am constantly updating it as fellows like you can see the update in real time :) and yes, electrification may start anytime soon as all the formalities post tender have been completed. You may see the work in coming days. Material like mast etc, may arrive by Nov end, as of now pit ( grouting etc. ) work for mast erection and other related work shall start anytime now. Once the work start it shall catch pace. And yes, the electrification is for Rajpura-Patiala-Dhuri-Lehra Mohabat section , as this is with RVNL , and CORE is already doing electrification of Rohtak-BTI-LHM, So , it shall complete the loop. And yes, as per railway officials, the entire Punjab and Malwa belt shall be put on electric traction by March 2022.

RVNL shall be setting up its site office and warehouse at Patiala :)

Well, the electrification of Rajpura-Patiala-Dhuri-Lehra Mohabat has been delayed by 2 months due to delay in doubling process. The NR needs to provide the doubling plan or drawings to RVNL for installation of OHE according to the proposed doubling, which is with other PSU of IR, the NRCO, NORTHERN RAILWAYS CONSTRUCTION ORGANISATION, and a lack of coordination is there. Whereas the RVNL has completed all official formalities to start the electrification work ASAP , but are sitting on the wait line and waiting for yard plans etc. Now, it has been confirmed to me that the electrification may start by end of November on this section.

in this budget in 2015' has delayed it. Officials are pressing upon doubling first or to start doubling plus electrification together. But RVNL had already initiated and finalised the works for electrification and has even almost finalised the contractor. It all means that RVNL wants to start electrification work ASAP , but are waiting for open line and yard plans.
