Earlier it was announced that 100 new smart cities will be developed. So it was expected that the new cities shall be developed from scratch along the industrial corridors or adjacent to new industrial/business growth centers with every construction/facilities developed as per rules of planning and law.The existing haphazardly developed cities with already creaking infrastructure shall cease to expand recklessly.
But today the implementation of smart city project is much like an extension of earlier city improvement plans pursued by Urban development ministry. More money shall be pumped into the already congested cities crowded with slums, which in turn shall attract more and more migrant population and hence there will be further development of slums outside the periphery of the

It looks like Govt is in a hurry to develop the smart cities,which should actually take at least a decade to take appreciable shape when started from scratch.

sab nautanki hai. sarkar ko bane 2 ans half years ho gaye or abhi tak list pe list hi nikal raha hai. Pahle bole 100 ko banayenge phir 10 pe aa gaye. Jumlebaazi ki had hoti hai. Aisa thagera sarkaar maine isse pehle kabhi nahi dekha. Har cheej me jhoot bolte hai ye log.
