Travelled by this train on 13th June boarding at Kayankulam Junction and deboarding at Vadodara Junction on 14th June.......
The train reached Kayankulam at 11:15 am instead of the scheduled arrival at 10:40 am as it was trailing the QLN ERS MEMU 66302 via Kottayam....there was a huge chaos as the MEMU arrived as it was stopped at the fag end of the PF 2 and people had to run badly to catch the 8 coach train..........Many people missed the train...
My train arrived quietly on PF 1 hauled by a very dirty
...
RTM WDM 3A although i expected a RTM WDM 2A.........
The train consisted of 18 coaches and my coach was the S5 coach......it was a 2004 made coach, well furnished and very clean.....to my surprise...:-)
The train left within 2 minutes and immediately reached the speed of 90 kmph and continued so till ALLP.....the train left ALLP after it's scheduled stop of 3 minutes and had a steady run till Cherthala where we were stopped for crossing with the 16308 CAN ALLP Express......then after a non stop run barring a TSR of 45 kmph at "Kaitappuzha kayal" bridge we reached bang on time at ERS.....
From ERS to TCR it as again a steady run of 80 kmph and we reached Thrissur around 15 minutes early......the train left at the scheduled time of 14:20 from TCR and reached SRR at 15:00 10 mts before time.....there we met the 13351 Dhanbad Alappuzha Express which pulled into PF 5 along with our train for a loco reversal......
After a bang on time departure from SRR our train had a cautious run till CLT....but the jump in speed was evident as the train entered "Malabar" as it crossed 90 kmph very often....
The train reached on time at CLT where the 16107 Chennai Egmore-Mangalore Central Express via TPJ was waiting at PF 4 and this was the reason why our train had many unscheduled stops till CLT....Our train pulled into PF 3 of CLT....
The train left after a 5 minute halt and then brutally speeded upto 105 kmph blasting past the wayside stations like Koyilandy and Nadapuram road raising lots of dust on the PF's.........we reached Kannur on time and were greeted by the 16528 Kannur-Yeswanthpur Express via Salem standing on PF 3...
Kannur is one impressive Railway station...spick and span with all the facilities....
The train left CAN after 5 minute halt and again speeded up and it was a continuous run till Nileshwaram and Kotikulam where our train was stopped as we were trailing the TVC MAQ Parasuram Express....finally we overtook the Parasuram Express at Kasaragod where our train also had a 2 minute halt.....Again the train speeded up and ran non stop till Mangalore Junction where we reached at 08:10 15 minutes before time......our train was stopped there till 08:50 pm for crossing with the 12432 NZM TVC Rajdhani Express....
To be continued.....

Coaches were neat and clean because lots of complaints flown towards northern railway regarding maintenance of this train and even some of complaints went to railway ministry also that why fast action was taken by NR and some of the prominent newspaper also published reports the bad maintenance of this train.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
