I agree with you that middle class are travelling by 3AC or upgraded from SL as incomes and comfort levels, aspirations of the middle class are increasing. IR should have a norm of AC coaches for SF and normal trains that half should be AC and another non AC apart from SLR to cater all sections of travellers My preferred config is 8-10AC according to route and 7SL + 3 GS for an LHB rake when they are no AC trains between the two stations and if ful AC trains are there then SL should increase by 2 and AC decreased by 2 coaches. Fare increase in our country irrespective of Govt is not welcome by citizens of this country.

Yes, IMO coach augmentation should be done on case to case basis(train to train basis), on the basis of past demands/WL charts, taking on view exceptions an seasonal variations... Rake standardization may be good for rail admin as ease of managing things but not for public and purse of rail accounts.
But again it requires analysis and some CDO constraints like lack of parking space, lack of manpower/coaches, TT slacklines needs to be addressed

As many of the other members have citied the points hence I would refrain from repeating them, You are not all being ignorant Utkarsh! 5-7 Sleeper coaches can be kept as they are.

I would say time has and is changing and we would have to embrace these changes cause the travelers have adopted to prefer AC classes in significant amount over sleeper.
