Yes. i do believe in the same.. this will save a lot of cost for the railways.
This is the state of world operational standard for running train services.
For example .. Ajmer Shatabdi runs full between Delhi and Jaipur and after Jaipur the occupancy is merely 20% or equivalent to 3-4 coaches.
But still a full rake of Ajmer Shatabdi comprising...
more... 18 coach moves towards ajmer after Jaipur.. The train looks literally empty .. and there are handful of takers between Ajmer and Jaipur..
Ideally if this VB can be converted in to two 8 coach VB.. one rake can move forward to Jodhpur and other to Ajmer..
or even one rake can be utilized to make additional trip to Delhi and back..
They can even run multiple 4 coach VB trains to smaller cities like for example Amb Andura via CDG.. or Firozpur- Moga via LDH.. or Dera Baba Nanak via ASR for Kartarpur corridor..
please wait...Translate to EnglishYeah man, I totally agree with you. This is the standard way to operate train services all over the world. Like, the Ajmer Shatabdi runs chock-full between Delhi and Jaipur, but after Jaipur, only like 20% of the seats are taken, that's just 3-4 coaches full. Even then, a full 18-coach rake of Ajmer Shatabdi keeps moving to Ajmer after Jaipur. The train looks nearly empty, and there are only a few people who want to go from Ajmer to Jaipur. So, they can split this one big rake into two 8-coach rakes, one to Jodhpur, the other to Ajmer. Or they could even use one rake for an extra trip to Delhi and back. They could also run multiple 4-coach trains to smaller cities like Amb Andura via CDG, Firozpur-Moga via LDH, or Dera Baba Nanak via ASR for Kartarpur Corridor. This would save a lot of money for the railways, dude.
