Under moderate showers @ Barkur, KYN WDG-3a "Shakthi" chugging away with the always late "superfast" train - Konkan King 12133 CSTM-MAJN SF Express. This train runs late for almost 95% times in a year, but I just love this train because when its on fire, its just amazing to be in this train. The second quickest train between Mangalore and Mumbai after Rajdhani express

Netravati doesn't require priority in KR region.Good amount of slack is given,average speed is low.Whom will KR give priority,late running 12133/34(Agreesive shedule,no slack time) or on time Netravati????

I will brief from what I have observed in KR:

1. 12051/52, 12133/34 & 12431/32 enjoy top preference in KR route.

2. The major reasons for 12051 & 12133 being prioritised...

is that they have to return back after a brief halt at the terminal station. A small delay for these causes heavy delays for all trains.. I have seen 12052 running late by 2 hours and so is 12134 running late by 4 to 5 hours in Non monsoon schedule due to late running of pairing train.

3. These trains are allowed to touch 110 kmph in most sections due to lesser no of halts enroute as compared to others and are also the ones to get some really cool powerful haulage locos....

4. If u want to experience speed then do travel once in 12133/34 and 12051/52 and opt for SL/2S
