To all those who like 2613 Tippu Express train between Mysore Bangalore, Sat Nov 13, 2010 would have given the best experience of a super fast train travel.
Departs Mysore at 12:10 p.m. while scheduled departure was 11 a.m.
A full 1 hour 10 minutes late in departure and I saw this train at Srirangapatna station around 12:28 p.m.
Now here is something interesting
...

to all of us.
As per the OFFICIAL DELAY STATUS
Mysore Departure on Nov 13, 2010 = 12:10 p.m.
Bangalore Arrival on Nov 13, 2010 = 1:40 p.m.
So total travel time = 1 hr 30 minutes.
Distance between Mysore Bangalore = 139 kms.
So 139 kms is covered in a span of 1 hr 30 minutes which gives us a result that the average speed of the train was 92.66 kmph? So now you should toss a coin to believe it or not?
This was faster than the Shatabdi express in the same route which covers the distance in 2 hours.
So before you travel in 2613 think twice if it is worth the superfast surcharge. It is always late and the average speed is less than 55 kmph. Unfit to title it as a super fast train. We commuters are taken for a ride and no justification towards surcharge of super fast.

Just love the way you have put the things across.. (SWR deaf ears) lol.
I should say this to all the Tuticorin express is the worst train between Bangalore and Mysore. People needs to understand the concept of Advance booking. You will wonder, person that has ordinary ticket easily gets into a reserved coach and travels. The thing that really pisses me off about the Tuticorin express is it stops in every small town between Bangalore and Mysore. YUK!!!
Just wanted to give you a heads up the people that wishes to

travel in Tuticorin exp. "PLease.. Please and please never travel in this train. Your Advance booking will never help you. If you still travel, Trust me, you will end up having a worst jounrey ever
Sorry, I should have said the above in the Tuticorin Express page. Since the above person had mentioned about Tuticorin Express in his message, I started putting down the things upfront here. Many thanks all!

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
