LP's handling trains in a particular stretch have to maintain "Road Learning", that is an awareness of the P.way,section limitations and restrictions, caution locations etc although its also mentioned in the Caution order and also through boards beside the P.way. In no Circumstances is a LP allowed to handle a train in a particular section with absolutely no road learing.

Although the train was led to the GY route, there would never be any risk as far as the safety of the train is concerned, this must again be some over-enthusiastic reporter...
more... putting in his "Opinions". I agree that the SM/RRI folks were at fault, but once a train is interlocked into a particular track, no other train is permitted into that track in Absolute block territory. Nevertheless, good that the LP noticed this early enough within station limits.
