The Summon:-
A colleague of mine returned from Mumbai after a long weekend aboard Konkan Kanya Express. She was able to manage a tatkal ticket with boarding at Panvel. Unfortunately the allotted coach was next to General coach. The train arrived at Panvel and it was brim to capacity as usual with all unreserved passengers occupying all reserved compartments.

With great difficulty she managed to the get inside a nearby coach and somehow with great effort managed to reach her berth. With all these unreserved pax clogging the passage way with no rooms even for moving a leg and add to it no TTEs in sight, she lost lost her temper.
She dialled 100 control room and asked for Railway Control Room No.. The Phone Rang.... She just shouted the officials for the poor service and demanded urgent safai of unreserved passengers. Such was the intensity of that phone call that in a short while the TTE magically appeared from thin air and at Khed RPF entered the coach. The unreserved passengers disappeared in a fraction of second and the journey continued with no more problems enroute. Only then did other reserved passengers started scolding the poor TTE.
Lessons to learn:-
1. Phone calls in such circumstances will ensure that reserved coaches stay only for reserved.
2. If needed by take the fellow passengers into confidence
