I planned a trip to KAWR from MYS regarding some work, First i thought of Boarding SBC-KAWR express from MYS but i did not get tickets in Tatkal. Then I had some works in SBC too, So i need to go to SBC. I was thanking god as i did not get Tatkal in KAWR express.
Here begins my first leg of journey
PART 1:
MYS-SBC
...

Train name: MYS-TN express 16236
I came rushing to the Mysore station to board TPTY passenger, i could have boarded if it was stationed on platform number 1 but it was on platform number 2. As soon as i got my ticket , TPTY started to move. I did not want to take any risk , so i planned to board MYS-TN express. I thought it was my bad luck to miss that passenger but it turned to be a blessing in disguise by not boarding that over crowded passenger. Thank god i did not board that passenger because later i experience one of the best diesel action ever. The empty rake of Tuticorin express was shunted at 17:00 hrs exact i.e. as soon as the exit of TPTY passenger. It occupied its usual platform, platform number 1. The Erode twins got attached with this train. It departed bang on time and it crawled till Naganahalli and started to gain the momentum after crossing Srirangapattna and it stopped at Pandavapura. Then ED twins showed its class, Now i understand why ED shed is pioneer in maintaining WDM's, it was really cracker all the way reaching all stations bang on time. At Mandya MYS passenger crossed us, then there was not any slow down at all. Skipping Bidadi was the best as it ignored Bidadi at MPS. It reached Kengeri 5 minutes before schedule where, then it crawled to SBC without any unscheduled halt where KAWR express headed with WDP 4B crossed us. This was the third time traveling in a train which ran with out any unscheduled halt in KGI-SBC section. The previous trains were Shatabdi and Tippu. It reached SBC ahead of the schedule by 30 minutes. It was an awesome, fantastic and a fabulous run. Then i went to Majestic to board 22:44 Mangaluru bus, it took me to MAQ at 6:30, I alighted in Hampankata before proceeding to Madgaon.
DOUBLING UPDATES:
Mysore-Naganahalli and Bangalore-Yeliyur : completed
Nagahalli-Pandavapura: Naganahalli to Cauvery river south doubling is going good but Cauvery North to Pandavapura doubling is slow.
Pandavapura-Yeliyur: Pandavapura to Chandagirikopal is over , the doubled line has to be linked with Pandavapura but Pandavapura's platform extension to handle 24 coach trains has not seen any significant improvement. Chandagirikopal to Yeliyur is going at a decent speed. So we can expect good things in MYS-SBC line soon

Karthik Sir,
It is high time that Erode has made demands for themselves. Like it or not TN - MYS train will be demanded to be diverted or atleast change in timings as TN has to accomodate new trains. Please do understand Tuticorin's plight also. Please make demands to IR with the help of your MP and other politicians to provide a seperate daily overnight train to SBC/MYS/UBL from CBE and with sufficient quota for ED.

Karthi Sir,
Pitline cannot be a reason to be a daunting issue to stop ED and CBE getting a train towards Bangalore. Mysore has sufficient space in the pitline to handle one more train. Why do you want to take the pain of maintenance activity. As a rail fan its our prime interest to ask for trains. It is IR's headache to decide where the maintenance should be. Just keep asking for trains and stop worrying about the pitline. If you keep worrying on such secondary issues, SR/IR will keep fooling us with the same reasons.

Karthi Sir,
I have to remind you again that Tuticorin has strongly stated the need of diverting the TN - MYS express. This time we have taken the MP, Rajya Sabha MP, MLA, Mayor and every other business chambers to talk about the diversion. It is the first point in the demands for this year from Tuticorin. Please be aware that there is a grivience need also has been raised in the IR forum. If not this year TN - MYS will be either diverted or will have another departure / arrival time from TN.

Since I am working in Bangalore, I had been to Mysore and also have checked on their pitlines. Still one more train will not affect them.

Karthi Sir,
I have noted down the points which you have formulated here and I have shared the views on behalf of Tuticorin. I am not against snatching away the quota and leaving a city standed without a connectivity rather I am humbly requesting that either way a solution has to be obtained. If not the TN - MYS express is diverted, will ED support Tuticorin's demand to make the TN - MYS express and SF express and reduce the number of stops between TN and MAdurai and change the arrival time in TN as 09:00 hrs and the departure time from TN as 17:50 hrs?
...
Why was not this solution promoted from ED? We have been writing about this even before the Karur - Namakkal - Salem section came into existence. I am very truthful in saying that we are ok with going around ED unless or until the arrival and departure time in TN is changed. Also in the same time since SR has not given heed to us on the solution we gave, we have resorted to the politicians of our constituency to bring a solution to this dire need.
