deepuipr 23 blog postsToday, i noticed an astonishing fact that this super crawler Duronto is slower than Maharastra Sampark Kranti Express 12908 between Nizamudin and Mumbai. For the fellow bloggers information, both follows the same time slot in this route, but slower by almost 45 minutes to one hour. Further this train also slower than 12223 Mumbai LTT- ERS route. Therefore, I do not think it will be difficult for IR to reduce the running time of this service by at least 2 to 2.30 Hrs from the current running time. Look forward to receive comments from other bloggers.

It is not the monsoon timetable which is worse than the normal timetable. i noted the above points on the basis of the normal timetable

Why Railways Want to Waste Diesels on Electric Route, Loco Change for this train and kerela Sampark Kranti express and Group can be Changed at Panvel Instead of Vadodara, AC lo0cos can easily go till Panvel

There is no Electric Trip Shed in Panvel. Only after building such trip shed, IR will shift the loco change to Panvel from existing vadodara.

A Longest Non Stop Duronto Express running with just Avg 58 KM/HR(So sad). Now days even Ordinary Superfast train's with Rusted ICF rakes is running with Aug Speed 60 to 70 KM/HR..

It is possible to reduce the running time of this train without changing its present route. Since there is no commercial stoppages, it can divert through the Kerala route without touching Coimbatore. End to end WAP 7 or WAP 5 loco usage will certainly reduce drastically the running time in the new route

1. I notice that this train takes same time to reach from TVC to MAJN both during monsoon & non monsoon. It is shocking to discover that it covers this stretch at an avg speed of 59kmph much below the avg speed of other Rajs. If it runs at min. of 80 kmph in Kerala state alone, it would reduce travel time by minimum of 2.5 hours. This stretch has double lines which can withstand 110kmph, so attaining 80kmph should...

By speeding up and giving priority it can reduce the running time from NZM to Panavel by minimum one hour from existing running time and also reduce 45 to 50 minutes from Panavel to Mangalore especially during non monsoon period. Further the present running time from from Mangalore to Shornur was set up way beck in 199, when the whole section was single. Since, it is passing this strech during night, it can save another 30 minutes in this section also. Recently SR decided to increase the speed of train in Shornur -Ernakulam strech another 20 minutes can be saved. Hence, my suggestion is if the Northern Railway decides to fine tune the existing timetable, the running time of this train can be reduced by a minimum of 2hrs 30 minutes in both directions.

deepuipr 23 blog postsfurther to my earlier blogs, IR should change the route of this train through nagpur and AP, which is the shortest fully electrified. If IR allot a WAP 5 loco, it can easily reach ERS within 36-37 hrs through this route. Since most of the offices in delhi is closed on sat and sun, this train will get god response id it change its days of operation to start from nizamuddin on friday 9.30 pm through the new route.
