TO THE MODERATOR.
Sir,
Please give the FUNNY option a new lease of life.I seriously can't imagine that some THICK SKULLED people are taking offence when termed FUNNY.This is the best example of OVER REACTION.
Being FUNNY is a VIRTUE and not a BANE.
Recently

some unwanted controversies were introduced by some ADMINS about the DISAGREE option and as a result,it died an UNTIMELY death.Similarly, someone stirred the HORNET's NEST with respect to this FUNNY option.
The removal of this vital OPINION does not bode well for the site.In short, the removal of DISAGREE and FUNNY is UNWANTED,UNNECESSARY and UNDESIRABLE.
Thanks.

Hi, good afternoon folks. This is Jardine Henderson from Sydney. Wish to enjoy the luxury of a journey by the MAHARAJA EXPRESS sometime in the month of May. Can someone tell me the itinerary of this train and how much dough I will have to shell out for this trip.

Thanks guys. That was prompt. Sadly there seem to be no programmes scheduled for the month of May. But the circuit is good and it seems to be pretty reasonably priced compared to Europe.

The pictures of the interiors of the train look amazing. I hope it is at least half as good as they appear to be. But seems to be good value for money. At least I think they do not rip your backsides off as they do in UK and other countries of Europe. Not too sure though of the rates in the US.

This morning my dad asked me a puzzling question which I'd throw open to all railfans to answer- What would be the longest (most expensive) journey by First AC from Mumbai to anywhere on Indian Railways network, strictly adhering to the following two conditions-
1) The train/trains used should be mail/express, passengers or superfast only. No Rajdhani/Duronto allowed.
2) Changing trains is allowed but the combination should necessarily follow the shortest direct route from Mumbai to the destination, so, for example, you can suggest going from Mumbai to Guwahati changing multiple trains to
...

be in First AC all the way as long as the route being taken is same as the route of the shortest direct train from Mumbai to Guwahati. You cannot go Mumbai to Delhi and change train to go Delhi-Guwahati because there is a shorter Mumbai-Guwahati route available (though First AC is not available on that train)
Maximizing distance is not really important, what matters the most is that the First AC fare should be maximized!
I hope I have not confused you guys! Please suggest the "most expensive" First AC route

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
