Dear all, i booked ac 3 tier by 22809 on 9 Jan from Cuttack 6 hours before departure of train, found 69 berths vacant . Opted for lower berth not alloted. My booking did not go ahead , as my option not met up. Again booked by Same train middle berth. Alloted as requested. However on boarding train , found lot of lower berths , not sure why berth was not alloted. I feel doing this , railway might also lose business. This to look into .
Bcoz that berths are of lower berth qouta and after chart prepration they are alloted who book in current.

you are lucky that you passed VGLB at right time. near about 5.30 there was a frieght derailed in that section so as of now some trains are diverted and some are keep halted on various stations.

it is not that heavy 5 wagons of a frieght derailed so there is some disruption on UP track to NDLS while down track got disrutped for only 3 hours.
