It was originally BKSC-MAS express with a slip service from TATA if I am not mistaken. Originally a SER train, due to ADRA division's apathy towards the pitline at BKSC, it wasn't looked after well and allowed to rot away. The Primary maintenance of this train was then given to ER and the train was extended to DHN_ER and the train was renumbered to 13351.
BKSC is a strange case where a combination of several factors have ensured that a city of the calibre of Bokaro is devoid of originating/terminating trains....

Be it the land issue with BSL that denies the justified increase in number of platforms at BKSC, or the general apathy of SER and ADRA division towards it as a whole. Compounding this problem is the weak political lobby of Dhanbad, under whose Union Legislative seat BKSC lies.
Dhanbad got lucky in some ways, the location was good and ER's ASN Division, and then Dhanbad Division was really beneficial for the region. Dhanbad and Gomoh got pitlines for that reason.
Dhanbad still gets a lot of benefits from ASN Division, that is a undisputed fact. That is the main reason why I always felt that DHN Division shouldn't have be created out of ASN Division in the first place. It would still be beneficial if DHN was reinstated back into ASN.
I have tagged members from BKSC, who will be able to elaborate on the matter in greater details.
