Optimum utilisation of rolling stock is different, and wish based demand is different.

List mile connectivity is to be ensured by Railway itself to justify their overhead of operating a full fledged station at its own category.

of train/stoppage should not be politicised the way it is being done in other areas.

I guess demand to fullfil the need of meralgram was given by local administrative division, and railway found it more feasible to provide the stoppage to have last mile connectivity.

There is no rocket science behind this.
