Just to make you guys aware its the Railway ministry (Central Govt) deciding on railway decisions not the local MP from opposition.

its efforts of local MP (from Opposition) to get the deals approved by the Railway Ministry (central Govt).
How would the central govt know a need of a city/state?

I agree that local MP will push, but it would be over a time, and it cannot happen overnight just at election time, that too when their party is not in power, and final call will definitely be taken by Railways. I remember she was pushing hard for years on Bangalore train, we got it about 1.5 yrs back, Increasing in freq for Pune train, and so on, you cannot just say its just for sake of election, if you think Railways had always listened to her, in this way, Indore must have been far advanced in the Railway map today. Some of these are budget announcements from last year, now who do you think is responsible for introducing these trains just before budget, central govt or local mp?

I never said it's not her efforts. Efforts and decision are 2 different things. And connecting something to election part relates to decision. I know she has put lot of efforts over decades and this is not something for elections. I have seen many trains announced even when there was no elections. Thanks to her
