KSRTC will do all the needful to see that this train becomes useless. If SBC MAQ buses are not running to full capacity, KSRTC will become loss making corporation. Some private bus operators have to go out of business. So, together KSRTC and private bus operators will see that no train is introduced in SBC MAQ sector.

Yes they will try all possibilities, Now KA being the topmost corrupt state in India, KA govt along with KSRTC will try to bribe railways(SWR), to keep the rail traffic minimal between Bengaluru and Mangaluru and divert passengers towards Buses.

ksrtc is a govt bus. it provides good service like clean comfortable seats in express buses too. properly keeping to time, adhering to the TT. one can complain to the crew of any problem with co-passenger and it gets attention. all these are not guaranteed in a train. right?
... private bus operators we can/should blame for not allowing trains to mangaluru , but why ksrtc? it our money that bought the bus.. its profit provides more better newer buses to us. ... its our bus - public bus.. to put it simply.
......
...

anger needs to be directed towards private bus cartel.
.....
take salem or anathapur for example. so many tnstc/ksrtc, apsrtc/ksrtc buses ply inspite of good no. of trains. why? because though costlier people have faith in govt. buses. buses are clean, stick to schedule and we get an assured seat. unlike trains where even reserved seats are not assured if UR people come and occupy. cleanliness is not good. we all know how late trains are.
.....
and finally i don't think govt. corporations bribe govt. corporations...... who will pay the bribe? what account will you show in official records? will you put the bribe as "bribe to swr"? there is PAC and CAG, when auditing happens, won't they ask where the money went.? wont RTI activists, opposition, press easily find ..............
no.... govt. doesn't bribe govt.....
yes private bus lobby perhaps.....

IR profit goes directly to central govt, where as KSRTC profit will go to KA state govt, I am not against state govt, KSRTC is one of best bus fleet service in Asia proud of it. But here increase in number of ksrtc fleet means increase in state fund treasury. Where as railways can play spoil sport by just adding 2-3 day/night trains to Mangaluru. Or in other words Railways are happy with more number of freight trains on this route, which bring profit to National treasury and KSRTC are happy with more number of buses. Mutual understanding
