If at the time of final chart preparation, in case of I Ticket, some are RAC and others in WL. Then what is the status. Whether WL pass names appear in chart or not. Whether they are allowed to board or not. Please advise.

rules say no WL passengers are allowed to travel. but TTE on board sometimes allows passengers with partial confirmed passengers - provided you do not ask for any extra seats and adjust within yourselves. berth charges are taken but not provided if not available. before boarding, pl request tte for adjustments option. generally they allow. maybe in case of raj, duronto they may not.
pl check with tte before boarding for many unpleasantness can be avoided.

Last week on May 9, 2010, I was travelling on this train from CAN to LTT coach G8/74. It was full except seat no 75, 77, 78, 79, 80, & 81. (Later came to know these will be occupied from MAQ). Three persons were sitting in 79 and 80 (WL passengers). When TTE came he was telling to those 3 passengers to wait until MAQ. At MAQ the above seats were occupied by the respective passengers. Later TTE came and took 2 of them to another coach and the third one was asked to sleep on the berth near bathroom, which is usually meant for coach assistant. Next morning when I asked them about this he told TTE gave them 2 berths, which was vacant. Then I asked whether they got prior permission to get into the train with WL ticket from TTE, he replied if we ask them they will...
