Thankfully, the pantry in this train is not bad at all. I got very good dinner, warm even, for the first time on a train journey.

Good train for Bangalore to Pune. First halt I'll be waiting for after waking up in the morning is my destination.
Also strangely, a lot of berths in this train are unoccupied today. So much so that the TTE didn't even care to come and check.

One of them crossing right now -- that was Rani Chennamma.
Reached Miraj a bit early. I guess around 03:10. A group of boys boarded the train and shoved flash lights in every sleeping person's face. So here we are.
Waiting here since about 03:50
The TTE came to check tickets after Dharwad, a few minutes before 23:00, pretty much everyone who boarded the train from any previous station was asleep.
Don't know which crossing we were waiting for, but it just happened and we've started moving again.
Crossed Amnapur just a few minutes ago.

SL Coach is sparkling clean. I totally admire the recent improvements happening in Indian Railways. Pretty good stuff.

Train seems to have onboard catering but I packed food from outside as many folks here recommended doing that for this particular train.

All chai-walas in trains should go to hell or what? Assholes serving sugar water. I'd rather have hot water than hot sugar water. :/

Halting here now. Locals flocked the sleeper coaches and some travellers from SBC waiting for Gulbarga.
Many of the locals are students traveling from Wadi to Gulbarga -- their regular college commute.
Just crossed Martur
I'm so utterly jobless and so well connected right now. :P

If you have opted for bedroll while booking your ticket, get the same immediately when you board the train.
Attendant will not keep your bedroll on your berth. Bed roll would get over when train reaches Mangalore.
I have opted for bedroll while booking the ticket and boarded the train from Kannur. Attendant was distributing bedroll for those who were not opted by taking Rs. 25 from them. I was expecting that, since I have already paid the money while booking the ticket, he would have kept the same in my berth....
