For Mr.venkat katragadda to commute during peak hours () from Borivli to BCT as mentioned by him, is he not aware that the Rajdhani leaves BCT at 16:30 hrs ? So, for travel from Borivli say at 15:00 hrs to catch the train at 16:30, where is the question of peak time ? Or, is any time peak for him ?

It would be beter for the you to travel with luggage at that perticular time. In Westren suburb, no offpeak time espeially between Borivili and Mumbai Central.

holiday special trains are not shown on the indianrail.gov.in site. this is to be introduced for the convenience of information. a separate button/link/tab may be added to the site so that it lists availability of trains and seats during holidays. information as to when such trains will be operational etc. may also be mentioned.

You can see the information in special trains section inside trains menu of indianrail.gov.in. You can get the schedule of a perticular special train also in the same section.

dear I have told u on change reservation qouta whenever I am clicking on options like general or tatkal or defence automatically options hides whenever I click on these options and it is not giving me an appropriate answer you try yourself by going on change reservation qouta and enter any option no option is giving any appropriate answer

Just type first two letters are wait for pull down options n then choose. This is happening recently and I hope this problem will be reloved soon.
For ex: if you want to change from general to Tatkal, type :t so that options will appear on the screen n then select the tatkal option. Hope this helps.

I would like to travel from Mumbai to Chennai around the 8th of January 2010. I'm a French tourist arriving in India the 4th of January. How can I book my train ticket in advance. Is it possible from internet?

You can get a confirmed ticket in current reservation also under Forign Tourist Quota based on availability even for the same day just before chart preparation. There is a special counter for this category in Mumbai CSTM reservation complex. You need to show your passport as proof. Most of this type of quota is not availed especially for this train (2 berths in 2AC sleeper and 4 Berths in normal Sleeper.
Alternatively you can ask your travel agent to book through either Yatra/cleartrip where they can process the requests on phone also.
